Rebels Travel baseball in Glen Ellyn is fast and exciting. It encompasses the best baseball players in town, and it provides a chance for players to compete against the best players from other towns in northern Illinois.
Teams are offered at the 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U levels. One full time team will be selected at each of the 8U and 9U levels, two full time teams will be selected at the 10U, 11U, 12U and 13U levels and up to three full time teams will be selected at the 14U level to allow teams to participate in tournaments featuring teams at similar skill levels.
Additional Part Time teams may be formed at each age level (dependent on interest and ability). Players selected for Part Time teams will be required to register and participate in the Spring House League.
Training of the players will be performed with input from the coaches at Glenbard South and Glenbard West, as well as other professional instructors.
Tryouts take place in mid-summer. Tryouts will involve an objective evaluation criteria which will be established and managed with the help of Rebels coaches, along with outside evaluators.

What is the birth date cutoff for each respective age group?
The age cutoff is May 1st. In order to understand what age group your child can play, ask yourself the question, “How old is my child on May 1st?” Whatever age that is, that is the team he/she may tryout for.
8U (cannot turn 9 before 5/1/2026)
9U (cannot turn 10 before 5/1/2026)
10U (cannot turn 11 before 5/1/2026)
11U (cannot turn 12 before 5/1/2026)
12U (cannot turn 13 before 5/1/2026)
13U (cannot turn 14 before 5/1/2026)
14U (cannot turn 15 before 5/1/2026)
We strongly encourage you to have your child play with his/her grade level, if eligible. In preparation for high school baseball, kids should have the opportunity to play full field dimensions prior to their freshman season.
