Our Philosophy
The Glen Ellyn Lakers believe that a positive environment is achieved through the integration of superior coaching and training with the execution of the many activities needed to administer the organization.
The development of athletic skill is achieved through qualified coaching and training appropriate to the age of the player. Athletic enjoyment is achieved by creating a passion for the game of soccer with understanding and motivation through education, communication, teamwork, participation, and good sportsmanship.
The Glen Ellyn Lakers define being successful as the ability to play with both a physical and mental understanding of the game while showing respect for one’s self, teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators.
Player Commitment
The Glen Ellyn Lakers is a full year program with the Fall season beginning in late August and ends early November. The Winter season begins in January and goes through March with the Spring season beginning in April and ending in June. Each season includes regular weekly training in each season, competitive league games in each season, and tournaments.
